The purpose of this website is to spread awareness of our community's rich history and culture among our young generation and to help preserve our cultural identity.

In our community, there is no tradition of recording our history. The majority of family history is passed down orally from generation to generation. Sadly, though, a large part of history is lost to time untold as our elders pass away.

Today, we have easy access to technology, making it possible for us to gather and share information about our interesting and diverse cultures.

This website is for anyone interested in the Bhatia community and our history and culture. I gathered as much information as I could find, and any online resources have been linked if you choose to review them.

This is my personal website, which is not affiliated with any organisation, and was created out of compassion and personal interest.
Welcome to my website, our website. The objective of this website is to create awareness of the community's rich history and culture amongst the new generation and to preserve our identity. And also to share the knowledge of our history for the benefit of the whole community.
We as a community have been very poor in recording and preserving records on our history. There have been a few exceptions in the past, but the information was not accessible by all.
With current technology now available to all, there is no excuse for the lack of sharing the information.
Over time I have researched and collected a lot of historical data from various sources which is all shared on this website.

Introduction

Bhatiamahajan.com is specifically launched to collect and retain the rich cultural heritage and history of the Bhatia community. Over the centuries our forefathers in face of aggression at a great cost maintained their faith, morals, and beliefs and retained their identity. Today in the global village with the influx of modern technology and the influence of the western TV culture we risk losing our heritage and identity.

There are many like minded people out there in the community who over the years have been patiently collecting pieces of materials of the family and community history hoping to pass it on to the next generation. Today we have the technology and platform to work together and contribute it to the next generation for eternity. So lets all work together here and try to achieve this goal.

Let this site also be a place where you can get information on other daily aspects of life and also be entertained and have fun. A place where you can comunicate
